Distribution map
H. schoemannii is interesting "new" discovery made by M.Hayashi few years ago from Laingsburg area. The closest relative is H. granulata, which occurs to the West from this locality. It is known sofar from two localities from E of Laingsburg to Dwykarivier. They grow very well hidden and are very difficult to find in nature.

H. schoemannii is not yet much known in cultivation. It needs same growing conditions like H. granulata. Propagation can be done by offsett or seed.
