H. breueri is medium sized species with greyish green colour, rosette from 4 to 8 cm. It is associated with shale rocks, usually grows hidden under the bushes. It is solitary species. Leaves are thick, with very short bristly at the leave end, surface is scabrid with whitish translucent dots.

H. breueri is growing in area E of Musikraal. Bayer include this element and H. wimii into H. emelyae var. major. He refers to its intergradation into emelyae, through breueri. But same can be said about integradation into maraisii and multifolia in the West and magnifica in the South. Because of this I agree with Breuer and Hayashi about their "new" status of it. Western form, described as H. wimii, is much smaller, it has prominent teeths in the margins and grow in sandstone. See separed article about it. Gerhard Marx found interesting small form of breueri deep in the farm Springfontein. Plants here have longer leave and somehow resemble wimii as well.

H. breueri is nice and attractive plant and should be part of every Haworthia collection. Propagation should be done by seeds.
