Haworthia meiringii (M.B.Bayer) I.Breuer

H. meiringii is smaller, proliferous species which vegetatively resembles H. herbacea, but the flowers are same as H. maraisii. In nature it usually forms small clumps or grows solitairy.

Distribution map

H. meiringii occurs east and west of Bonnievale. It becomes very variable proceeding westward, some forms has rigid, erect, thin, scabrid leaves, sometimes spotted and these forms can co-occur with the more typical forms of meiringii. Immediately West of Bonnievale it intermingles with H. heidelbergensis in dense populations.

H. meiringii in cultivations grow without any problems, similar like H. maraisii. It can be propagated from offsets or seed.
